Originally intended to be an integrated steel sports watch, the Royal Oak has since become a flagship for Audemars Piguet made into many different steel but also gold iterations.
The 1990s was a time of innovation and change for the brand leading to some rather interesting creations including the reference 25594, a day, date complication with Moonphase disc at 6, resembling a perpetual calendar at first glance, but entirely set through its screw-down winding crown.
