Rose Auctions: behind the scene from the Heart of Paris

In October 2023, following the ups and down of the watch market due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, and after close to a year of wonderful french paperwork – Rose Auctions came to life. Watch Auctions for Watch Lovers!

We started with a simple goal: to shake up the watch auction scene with some much-needed expertise and transparency.

The Founders: Passionate Collectors

Damien Juliat: With over 10 years of experience as a watch dealer, Damien deals in high end vintage timepieces, sourcing some of the rarest and most collectible timepieces. His knowledge and expertise of watches and the market are of great help in the day to day of Rose Auctions.

Romain Combe: Romain has always been fascinated by watches and after meeting Damien through their gym many years ago, that passion turned obsession. Romain’s engineering background allows us to stay on top of all the small intricate details that keep Rose Auctions running.

Mateo Rossi : A collector at heart, Mateo founded Le Paris Watch Club and has since dived deep into his love for watches, also dealing in high-end vintage watches, his passion for watches and young media savvy mindset allows us to get the word out about Rose Auctions to as many of you as possible.

The Team: Céline and Jonathan

Behind the scenes there is a lot to be done, estimates, authentication, shipping, billing… and the list just goes on and on and on.

We are lucky to have a fantastic team at Rose Auctions, Céline Beral, our state-certified auctioneer who’s love for history and story telling brings in some of the most interesting first-owner watches we’ve seen.

Jonathan Perrichon is our in-house watchmaker, after 10 years with Rolex, Jonathan now makes sure all our vintage watches are ticking away for many more years to come. His experience with vintage watches is top notch, grand complications, minute repeaters, you name it – Jonathan has serviced them all.

Bureaucracy

Launching an auction house in France was not a walk in the park, over a year of paperwork to get our accreditation from Le Conseil des Ventes – a government authority auditing auction houses in the country.

This is good news for you guys though as we are audited throughout the year to ensure everything is running to the highest standard.

Come Say Hi

We are located in the heart of Paris, between l’Opéra and Palais Royal, if you want to come and have a drink, talk about watches or see our upcoming lots, send us a message and we’ll be more than happy to host you!

Stay tuned for our upcoming September auction, it’s going to be a good one!

Due to the Olympic games happening in Paris throughout the summer we have taken the decision to interrupt our auction schedule to ensure the best level of service to buyers and sellers alike. In the meantime, Rose Auctions will continue to operate via our Private Sales department.
